In the 33 nights between January 18th and February 19th I wrote 33 poems. I typeset them into a 44-page 5x7 chapbook titled nights since (volume one). I will continue to write a poem each night until i find another semi-permanent home, so there may eventually be a volume two. The poetry is this chapbook is mostly raw and unedited—just as it was written. These poems are about life, all of it, as colored by being without a permanent home.
This chapbook release is to raise some money for a new endeavor called Lightship Press (an eventual small press which needs at least $600 to start ) and my continued survival. It will be a limited edition run—only for the people who pre-order it—most likely 100 copies, but if there’s enthusiastic response, then up to 300 copies. Each copy will be numbered and stamped.
I feel it would be appropriate that poems written from the bottom of the well serve as footholds to climb out of the well or at least glimpse some light above.
The big "audience participation" question is how many of you would buy/pre-order this chapbook for $15 (+$3 S&H). It will take roughly 30 copies pre-ordered to just cover the printing costs. I don’t want to run a crowdfunding campaign at the moment—there are a lot of projects on my plate, so this is a low-key roll call—put your email in and once we reach a 100 people who want the chapbook I’ll send out the actual pre-order link.
