nights since (vol. 2)
This is the second volume of nights since. In the 33 nights between February 20th and March 25th of 2019 I continued to write poems—one each night. This chapbook is the result of this process. I am continuing to write every night with intent to document the emotional landscape of being without a home, so there will be future volumes of these series of chapbooks.
Thanks to the first volume of ‘nights since’ and additional fundraising efforts by the community of poets Lightship Press now has 100 ISBN numbers and a few books scheduled to go in production. The first being ‘Homesick Season’ by Kate Leddy.
The book has been printed and is en route to Portland from Impact Printing! Come out to the chapbook release if you are in Portland, Oregon!
The chapbook will be a limited edition run—depending on how many copies get pre-ordered. The chapbook cost is $15 (+$4 S&H).
nights since (vol. 1)
In the 33 nights between January 18th and February 19th I wrote 33 poems. I typeset them into a 40-page 5x7 chapbook titled nights since (volume one). I will continue to write a poem each night until i find another semi-permanent home, so there may eventually be a volume two. The poetry is this chapbook is mostly raw and unedited—just as it was written. These poems are about life, all of it, as colored by being without a permanent home.
This chapbook release is to raise some money for a new endeavor called Lightship Press, a small press dedicated to helping authors to put their work out into the world. Specifically to get ISBN numbers & set up the website for the press. I feel it would be appropriate that poems written from the bottom of the well serve as footholds to climb out of the well or at least glimpse some light above.
With help of Impact Printing the first volume of Nights Since series has been printed. There are a total of 180 copies of this book. Each copy is numbered and stamped. There are only a few copies left of this chapbook and it will not be reprinted for a while. Get yours today.
The chapbook is a limited edition run of 180 copies.
The chapbook cost is $15 (+$4 S&H).
