Nights Since chapbook series

In January of 2019 Igor has started writing a new series of poems titled ‘nights since’. Since then he has written a poem each night. These mostly raw and unedited poems are about life, all of it, as colored by being without a permanent home. The first 33 poems came out in a chapbook titled ‘nights since volume one’ in limited edition of 180 copies. This chapbook is nearly sold out. The proceeds were used to obtain 100 ISBN numbers for Lightship Press. The second volume of ‘nights since’ is now available for pre-order in Igor’s online store. The proceeds from second volume will be used to obtain the website for Lightship Press and subscription for Adobe Creative Cloud software.

Wordlights

Currently Igor hosts Wordlights, a weekly poetry evening at The Rocking Frog Cafe. It is a space for appreciating and supporting poetry in its many forms. The event features local & traveling poets and an open mic. Sign-ups are at 5:30PM. Show starts at 6PM. Check out events page for upcoming shows and Wordlights facebook page for more information.

Lightship Press

In May of 2019, Igor has established Lightship Press, a new small press in Portland, Oregon dedicated to helping poets publish their work. Igor is using proceeds from his ‘nights since’ series of chapbooks to fund the press. The first book on the press has come out in July 2019—’Homesick Season’ by Kate Leddy (ISBN: 978-1-951148-00-3). Lightship Press has also assisted with publishing two poetry albums this year: ‘Quiver’ by Ken Yoshikawa and ‘Seaglass Strange’ by Red O’Hare.
